Our Rehabilitation Services:

Physical Therapy

Our team understands the benefits of physical therapy and its ability to take advantage of the body’s natural healing ability. Through the use of exercise and carefully designed activities, patients are taught to use their own body’s abilities to restore healing and capacity within themselves. Each physical therapy program is uniquely designed and highly supervised to ensure effective results and utmost patient safety. Our staff work with patients one on one to achieve results in a controlled and safe environment.

The patients we treat range across the entire spectrum, including:

Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
Arthritis-related join pain
Conditions which affect bones, ligaments, muscles and tendons
Pre- and post-orthopedic surgery

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy help patients who have had an illness or injury relearn the skills of daily living. At Skyline we provide skilled restorative occupational therapy from 5 to 6 days per week. In order to maximize independent function in the home and community, therapy focuses on self care training and education, the use of adaptive equipment, motor control training, balance and coordination.

Speech Therapy

The speech pathology therapists at Skyline provide assessment and one-to-one treatment services patients and with speech, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. A lot of the patients after CVA, MI, end stage of Parkinson’s Disease, can be affected by difficulty or discomfort with swallowing. Complications arising can include malnutrition and weight loss, dehydration, aspiration pneumonia, choking and overall decreased quality of life. We work with patients to determine the cause of the difficulty and offer treatment to address the problem working closely with MD and other speech pathologists to individualize plans of care.

All our speech therapists are bilingual.

Community Re-intgration

Our Community Reintegration is a time limited intensive outpatient psychiatric rehabilitation program dedicated to providing the supports and services necessary for mental health consumers to achieve their optimal level of social and occupational functioning.
